APRIL 3 – 4, 2004
A
strong north wind combined with low temperatures, high water levels,
strong currents and floating debris greeted 39 Walleye Angler Teams
vying for the top prize of $3,320.00 in the Miller Electric Supply,
Inc./Dubuque Electric Motor Walleye challenge at Genoa, Wisconsin
on Saturday April 3, 2004.
Boat control
was at a premium on Saturday as the strong north winds did not abate.
Even with these challenging conditions the quality and expertise of
the Walleye Anglers Trail members became evident at the Day 1 weigh-in.
A total of 83 walleye were brought to the scale.

Day 2
brought a significant improvement in the weather conditions. Although
cold at take off (29) degrees the strong north winds abated to 10
miles per hour with bright sunny skies all day.
The improved
weather conditions were quite evident at the day 2 weigh-in with 129
walleye’s brought to the scales.
