Lawson, Martin win Crooked Creek Fall Classic
Glasgow fishermen Chuck Lawson and Robert Martin took the first-day lead with 24.08 pounds and then added the biggest
walleye of the tournament on the second day to win the Crooked Creek Fall Classic on
Fort Peck Reservoir on Aug. 26-27.
Lawson and Martin added a 12.07-pounder to their catch the second day on their way to winning the tourney with 40.30
pounds to set a tourney record in the Walleyes Unlimited of Montana Circuit event.
C.J. Reid and Oddvar Idland, of Circle, caught 20.56 pounds the first day and that weight held up to take second place in the
tournament.
It was the final Circuit tournament of the year for Walleyes Unlimited.
