Walleye Circuit Hell Creek Results July 22-23, 2000 |
Magnuson, Swenson win Hell Creek tourney
JORDAN — Miles City fishermen Bob Magnuson and Carlo Swenson recorded a record
one-day catch on their way to winning the Montana Circuit's Jordan-Hell Creek Walleye
Tournament last weekend on Fort Peck Reservoir.
Magnuson and Swenson weighed in 48.51 pounds for five walleyes Friday and added 15.79
pounds Saturday to post a 64.30 total and win the $4,000 first prize. The 48.51-pound one-day
catch broke the 43.65 pound mark set during the Governor’s Cup recently.
Luckie Bethel and Dale Gilbert took second with 60.82 pounds in the Walleyes Unlimited of
Montana Circuit Tournament. Third place went to Nathan and Ronald McClenning with 59.04
pounds.
Here are the money-winners in the tournament, which drew 135 two-person teams from Montana,
Wyoming and North Dakota:
