FRENCH-SCHWARTZ WINS ROCK CREEK TOURNEY

Glasgow area fishermen John French and Sandy Schwartz took first place in the Rock Creek Tournament on Fort Peck Reservoir on June 17-18 held out of the Rock Creek Marina.

French and Schwartz had a two-day catch of 38.62 pounds of walleyes to win the top prize.

Leith Wimmer, of Glasgow, and Leith Wimmer, Jr., of Fargo, N.D., took second place with a total weight of 34.96 pounds.

First-day leaders Robert Martin and Chuck Lawson, of Glasgow, wound up in third with 34.96 pounds.

Joe Reynen and Brent Nygaard, of Brockton, weighed in the biggest walleye among the 127 teams entered with a 14.72-pounder.

The event was sponsored by the Wolf Point Chapter of Walleyes Unlimited.
