MUZYNOSKI-MUZYNOSKI WINS TOUGH GUY TOURNEY JORDAN

– Bozeman fisherman Jim Muzynoski and his son, Jim Jr., ran away with first place at the Tough Guy Walleye Tournament held on April 29 on Fort Peck Reservoir out of the Hell Creek Marina.

Running 50 miles up the lake against big wind, waves and cold rain, they returned with five walleyes weighing 10, 7, 5, 3 and 2 pounds for a 27.35-pound total to capture the $800 first prize in the event.

Finishing in second place with 14 pounds for just two fish – including a 10-pounder – were Myron Kibler, of Sand Springs, and Jim Gibson, of Jordan, to collect a $500 check.

Third place went to Tom Nielsen, of Jordan, and John Gebhard, of Miles City, with a 13.30 total for $350 while Bernie Hildebrand and C.B. Schanz, of Miles City, took fourth with 13.27 and received $250. Fifth place went to Dan Anderson and Greg Chirrick, of Billings, with 8.94 pounds for just one fish to win $225.

A total of 53 teams competed in the event, which was sponsored by the Jordan Chapter of Walleyes Unlimited of Montana.
