2002 Illinois Walleye Trail Spring Valley Results

The Illinois Walleye Trail conducted its third tournament of 2002 at Spring Valley on Sunday March 17, 2002 The River conditions were high but water clarity had improved with 8-10 inches of clear water. 

Water temps were in 43 degree range. Placing first was the team of Rick Parrott from Sparland and Mike Tatera from St. Charles, IL. with 6 fish weighing 15 Lbs. 

Second place honors went to the team of Dan Grapenthieu from Lansing, Il. and Kurt Schoettle, Dyer, Ind. with 13 lb 7ozs. 

Third place team of Al Schrofer from Tinley park and Mike Gibson from Dyer, Ind. with 12 lb 11.5 oz. 

There were 105 fish brought to the scales weighing 209 pounds with 5 limits of fish. Big fish honors went to the father and son team of Jerry and Brian Ernat, from Princeton, IL. with a 4 lb 13.5 oz Sauger. 

The next tournament will be conducted on the Mississippi River Albany Illinois April 7, 2002. Complete results are posted on www.prairielandeyes.com
