The weekend started out Friday night with some great conversation at the picnic table, along with some super venison sausage, crackers, and beverages.

Saturday morning we all hit the water around 7:00 am, most not having fished this body of water, we all went on a search and catch mission. We stayed in contact with each other to find the bite...By noon, nothing was found that amounted to much, a few fish were caught, but no pattern was found. By the end of the day, only 2 walleyes were caught by Steve G. and partner Lowell. A few perch, and bass were taken but nothing of real note.

The day ended with a great get together at the Fireside Inn, a local dining establishment. Great conversation, some bonding, and lots of good stories were shared.

The next day, Sunday, several of us packed up and traveled to Mille Lacs to see if we could find a bite. As usual, the wind was up, and so were the waves. We fought the 4 to 5 footers for a while, and didn't find a bite that mattered, so we packed it up for the weekend.

Although, the fish didn't cooperate we still had a great time, made some new friends, and set the site for next years event. Big Winnie will be the venue on a date to be determined. Stay tuned for date for this event.
