Eighteen teams competed at the Miller Electric / Happy Joe’s Pizza “Best of the Best” Championship at Dubuque on October 8 & 9, 2005. The team of Mike Glynn & Maury Schmerbach of Dubuque, Iowa were able to bring their 6 fish limits to the scale on both days of the tournament (21.85 lbs.) to win the championship. They were closely pursued by the team of Sam Willett and Tom Griesinger of Peosta, Iowa (19.00 lbs.).
Steve Kopp of Dubuque garnered the Big Fish Award with a 3.15 lb. walleye.
The Walleye Anglers Trail paid back to 30% of the field.
