| | Kevin McQuoid takes Port Clinton FLW
The fish have all been weighed and Kevin McQuoid is the champion at the Port Clinton FLW event. In second place after two days and more than three pounds out of first, McQuoid weighed in a whopping 38 pounds 8 ounces to win. His three day total weight was118 pounds 4 ounces. His coangler for the day, Jimmy Cox won the coangler division.
Everyone that was asked, was pulling spinners. Using a variety of methods to get the harnesses to the fish some anglers targeted the deep fish while others targeted those fish coming off bottom. A couple of pros mentioned that there was a hatch occuring and using their electronics, they could actually see fish following the bugs upward.
Many mentioned that the bite was better in the morning when there was a slight chop to the water. Later on in the day, the wind died, the lake flattened out and fish were harder to hook.
McQuoid's win earned him a total of $63,000. In second place was day 2 leader Dean Arnoldussen with 113-2, earning $23,500. Third place went to Dave Kolb with 111-14 and a paycheck of $11,000
