MWC AND RWC HEAD TO LAKE OAHE

Tournament time has come again to Lake Oahe. This weekend, the Cabela's Masters Walleye Circuit and the Cabela's Regional Walleye Championship take on the mighty waters of Lake Oahe.

The Cabela's Regional Walleye Championship is a collaboration between state walleye tournament organizations including The Fishing Crew (South Dakota), Colorado Walleye Association, Kansas Walleye Association, Nebraska Walleye Trail, Wyoming Walleye Stampede and Texas Walleye Association. Top teams from each organization received invitations to the championship, which in 2011 paid out more than $36,000 including $10,000 to first place.

Due to the large number of entries, there will be 4 flights of teams. The first flight will take off at 7:00am and return at 3:00pm. The succeeding flights will take off every 15 minutes and return 8 hours after takeoff. Weighin will begin at 3:00 both saturday and sunday.

Fish size: 14” and over. Walleye, Sauger and Saugeye are legal. You may only keep 1 fish per angler over 20 “.
Limit of 4 fish per angler (3 between 14”-20”,1 over 20”) maximum 8 fish in the livewell.
Teams are allowed to weigh a limit of 5 fish per team per day.
Culling is NOT legal. Cull tags will be provided.

The strong winds from wednesday seem to have left the area.Light winds and temps in the 90's are forecast for the weekend.
