| | Sunny and Hot For Day2 at The Soo
The boats were lining up early this mornng in anticipation of a great day of fishing. Leaders after day 1, brothers John and Joe Giuliani, were first in line. They are hoping the fish are still where they were yesterday morning. They had their 4 fish by 11:00am yesterday but just couldn't get that 5th fish to fill the limit.
Even teams that did not do well yesterday know that a good day 2 could easily move them into the money. The fish have been moving and the trick will be finding a school or two of active fish.
I have fished many tournaments and have been part of many more. I don't think I have ever seen teams as nervous and anxious to get underway as I did today. Adrenalin levels were running high.
The weather forecast is for lots of sun, temps near 90 degrees and south winds at 15mph. It will be important for the anglers to stay hydrated and remain focused.
Weigh in will begin at 4:00 at the William Gregory Ramp at Aune-Osborne Park. There was a huge crowd at yesterday's weigh in despite it being a weekday and raining lightly. Hopefully today will have an even larger crowd and show these pros they are appreciated. |
