3/1/05 - Walleye Anglers Trail Kicks Off The Season by Walleye Anglers Trail
 

March 12 & 13, 2005
GENOA, WISCONSIN

The Walleye Anglers Trail is traveling to Genoa, WI. for it’s first season tournament of the year.  The official launch site for this 2 person team event is the Power Plant boat ramp on the Mississippi River at Genoa.

Tournament Director Bill Brosnahan is expecting a strong bite and ideal conditions for the W.A.T. teams as they challenge for the coveted “Team of the Year” award and a slot at the 2006 Cabela’s National Team Championship.  The teams will also be competing for the Northern Battery “Charging up the field” award, the Mack’s Lure “Just out of the Money” award and the Falling Rock Bait, Bar & Grill “Middle of the Channel” award.

The mandatory tournament rules meeting will be held on Friday evening, March 11, 2005 at 6:00 PM in the Genoa, WI Fire Department building on Main St. in Genoa.  A complimentary dinner for the competitors is provided by the W.A.T. sponsors. 

Entry is till open for the Genoa event with approx. 40 teams expected.  Entries are due by March 7, 2005 to avoid a $50.00 late entry fee.  Entry fee for all 2005 events are $325.00 per team that includes the big fish pot.

The W.A.T. pays back 20% of the field.
