I had a new powerhead put in on my 2000 Mercury 200hp Optimax and would like to know the proper break-in procedures. I do not have the original Owners Manual. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

According to the manual you are supposed to run the boat under a load as in tuck the motor under and bring the bow up and leave it there and make it grunt. Run it between 3500 -4000 rpm. Your also supposed to vary your throttle settings every few minutes. Your supposed to make it work hard for an hour. When you think it's been an hour do it awhile more.
