I'd like to know how much my altenator is returning from my 60 hp 1994 Evinrude to my main starter battery at 5000 rpms. This battery is not a starting battery model but a regular long drain deep cycle which runs all my electronics and boat functions. I use a kicker to do most of my trolling and the main battery carries the full load drain until I start up to return home. How long of a run do you think will recharge this main battery fully at 5000 rpms?

I had a 89 Evin 60hp and I believe it had a 6 amp alternator. I would recommend that you contact Evinrude customer service and they could verify it for you.

Steve is right back then they were like a 6 to 10 amp. What I would suggest is to run a large deepcycle combo battery and buy an onboard charging system and plug it in at the end of the day. Your motor will never get a full charge unless you run for a ong time. I had a 60hp Yamaha on a 1775 Pro-V and had the same problem (6 amp). I put a Trojan SCS225 battery as my starting battery and bought a 3 bank charger and and pluged it in at the end of the day . The Trojan has great reserve power so that helped also.
