I have a new Low x-18 to mount on my '96 pro-v dash . I already have my older 350a there. I'm thinking of mounting on the big Ram so it sits over and behind the 350a . What do I use for backing on the underside of the dash to solidify the Ram base? The console surface doesn't seem to be very substantial. Thanks

You can take some treated plywood and cut a piece to act as a backer on the underside of the dash. If you make it a bit larger in size it will help spread the stress/strain of the larger GPS/Sonar units (i.e. X-15, X-18, X-19, X-104) as you cruise across the lake.

I would use treated plywood and upgrade to stainless hardware to mount it with (available at any decent hardware store for under $3).

Good Luck!
