I've seen some boats where when traveling down the road they have the motor tipped to the side a little bit. What's the idea behind this? Is it easier on the transom this way or what?

Because of the way the mount pivots on the transom, the weight of
the motor causes it to lock to one side or the other. Just happens, no science. I keep my turned away from the kicker.
