looking to buy a portable gps units, hopefully for under $200 dollars, any info on models , as far as performance, features etc. would be greatly appreciated.

I have the Garmin e-trex handheld unit. The unit costs less than $150 and is a very nice unit. I would recomend it to anyone looking for a handheld GPS

I have a Garmin 12. About $140.
the only feature I wish I had was a mapping unit but I think you need to pay more for one of those.
