I've used the back to back uni knot, but now use the Albright knot. (use 8 - 10 turns and be careful when you tighten it)
You can find out how to tie them by typing it in on the search engine Google.com

Look in this website for knot diagrams. If lyou jdon't like those, check out www.worldwideangler.com. Their diagrams for some knots are a bit easier to read.

Thats what I use also. I only make 5 loops but try it yourself and find what works for you. This is the best knot for Mono to fireline. It is small and will go thru the eyes easy.

There is a tool you can get at Gander mountain that fly-fisherman use to make leaders that only costs about $5. It works great. I can't think of the name off hand, but email me and I'll check it out at home to see what they're called. Otherwise go to the fly fishing section at Gander and they should be able to show you what I mean.
good luck - erik
