View Full Version : Glyde Ride Seats
I was wondering if these are worth purchasing. They are pretty pricy for an accessory. I mean if they are worth it than no problem, but I would not want to invest in them if the difference between them and my existing power peds is nominal. Looking for advice. Thanks in advance.

YES YES YES
Took till Friday evening for my back to stop hurting from my Wed ride in the Erie RCL without Glyde Rydes and I'm not sure if it quit hurting because the Advil or the Absolut.
If you fish rough water very often - or even not so rough water in a small boat then get the Glyde Rydes. Your back will thank you.

Yes, Glyde Ryde seats are definitely worth purchasing. Any suspension seat is worth it if you fish big water. Another option in the suspension seat market is Lake Tamer Suspension seats. They are a product made by fisherman for fisherman and a fisherman's budget. Pat Schuette, who is a touring pro on the PWT and RCL circuits, is the maker of this great product. A set of seats goes for about $500. You can take the money you saved from buying Lake Tamers over Glyde Rydes and buy alot of crankbaits!!! Pat guarantees his product too. He can be reached at 920-758-3000.
They are vastly superior to power peds., and your back will be forever grateful.

WMT,
I bought ETT's bought 2 yrs. ago, he just put glyde rydes in, I didn't know much about them and told him to take them out since we were about $500 off on selling price. Anyhow, Jim and I agreed on a price and he said just keep them. I truthfully can tell you, I would not have haggled on the price if I new what I was getting- Thanks Jim! I'll never own a boat without them. Its one of those deals where if you don't know about them you may not spend the money, but if you try them in semi-rough water, you'll never go without them. I've got several buddies that now have put them in their rigs after riding in mine.
