Anyone else had one of these in the water? I picked up a ML3 6 ft 1/8 to 3/8 lure weight to try out and discovered it is a really nice rod, maybe better than my Loomis IMX SJR 721. It is light and sensitive, just wondering what people have reeled in with one(durability).

It is my understanding that Loomis manufactures blanks for Quarrow. Many to the exact same specs as standard Loomis blanks. I haven't held one yet so I can't speak for how well their rods are built. A friend of mine really loves their rods. And he has quite a few Loomis and St. Croix rods too.

Quarrow manufactures their own rods, and has been supplying name brands with rod blanks for years. Only last year did they decide to enter the retail market with their own label. They are very good.

Their contracts prohibit revealing names of companies they supplied with rod blanks -- however, that stuff does leak out.

Are you saying that Quarrow makes their own blanks? Or just that they build their own rods?

I was told that Loomis manufactures the blanks only, for them. I've never been able to verify that though.

Quarrow has made their own blanks for years. They've been sold by most of the name brands. My son-in-law has worked for them. He is honor bound not to name the brands which use or have used the same blanks.

Thanks. I guess thats some pretty reliable info.

So, anyway Jeremy. My friend has a few Quarrow rods and he raves about them. He has Loomis and high end St. Croixs too. He likes them a lot.
