A virus has been crushing alot of guys computers who have been frequenting fishing web sites. Do a virus check, it could save you alot of grief. Heres a web site that will get rid of it http://www.symantec.com/avcenter I ran it twice, first time it came up with nothing, second time it found it.

Yep, thats the one. It is just wreaking havoc on a bunch of web sites. An ounce of precaution, is probably worth the price of a new computer, and software.

I had it sent to me 14 times yesterday, but I didn't open it.
Weird thing is it has someone else's address in my address line? Just like your getting someone else's email, crazy! That in itself tipped me off.
I updated today as you suggested Hunter, and yup, a ounce is worth a ton when it comes to bugs.
Thank's for the heads up!!

One virus is being sent in an e-mail message with a title like "I'm sending this for your advice" The info is in an attachment and McCaf wouldn't even let me open it. The sender actually sent it twice with two different names, but with the same message. Always scan your attachments before you open them. While I'm at it; on the internet there are several free programs available to both block hackers(novices) and scan for viruses live while your computing, and if you get a virus I have some places you can go for help eradicting it. You may not like the names of the sites, and sometimes they are very busy, but they can help better than most. Just so you all know the "underground"community is warning to expect a major and improved version of a past virus to reappear on July 31st- so be extra careful. Lawrence

It's called the RED WORM. Sorry I didn't see you guys post earlier, it obviously didn't wait till the 31st. By the way it seems to not be aimed just at fishing sites, more of a universal shot in the net. Lawrence

I got it last Monday, took me until Thursday night to get it eradicated.
I got two different e-mails one was tiled "Berkley Registration" & the other had to do with Canadian Fishing. Are our friends from PETA behind this?
