True, but Its kind of fun to see peoples prospectivs on other topics. besides we can always say no I dont fish for cats but they do bite my hook when I am shore fishing for eyes at night from time to time.

I fished for catfish all my life until I moved to Lake of the Woods after my military duty was finished some 18 yrs ago.

It's a good fallback when normal fishing get slow.

Plus I hear rumors that the South Dakota Flathead record may have been broke this summer.

Hay-Hay-Hay, Catfish IS a normal fish.

I dig cats as much as walleye, some times even more.

Now trout, there is a abnormal fish if I ever seen one Eh!

:)

I am an avid catfisherman, there are probably several of us reading this board regularly but no one asks any questions specifically about catfish.Maybe some of us "coming out of the closet"(ha ha) will help.

Good fishng,

Scott

I used to fish for catfish quite a bit, and someday I plan to start doing it again. Nothing quite like sitting along a river in the dark of night swatting misquitos while eating a sandwich with the unforgettable stench of stink bait on my hands then having a beaver smack it's tail on the water about 10 yards away and scaring the bejesus out of me.

It's even more fun than it sounds

Yep, I do it and I like it - great way to spend an afternoon! Also gets me warmed up for the fall walleye run...

LOL, there are a few of us that will admit our short commings :P

as a matter of fact I am heading out about 9pm tonight to see if I can't find and ugly old flat head or two.

Flatheads on the Ohio River , Biggest one on a jigging spoon 38lb. Biggest one on live bait 48lb. Taste better than walleye .

NOT KOSHER!!! Fun to catch by accident. But it's more fun to catch eyes.
