Silver Bullet, Watermelon, Blue Hawaian, Eriedescent, Rainbow Trout, Copperhead, Bubblegum, and any others that are too good for you to pass up.

Don't forget "fried chicken"! it along with the new blue hawaiian, rainbow trout and "salmon" have been my top producers in Kentucky! I keep waiting for one called "moonshine" to be released locally! ;)

I've been having tremendous results on Mille Lacs pulling both the Deep Reef Runners as well as the Deep Little Rippers in Firetiger or Flame on bright days and perch (that ugly brown one) on overcast days. I've been pulling the Deep Little Rippers on boards.

Dave , without asking for any specific spots or anything, what depths have you had success with these at. Do you use any snap wieghts or lead line or anything to get down, or are you catching suspended fish. I'm learning some about cranks, but still have not figured them out yet.
thanks - erik

Erik-

I have been pulling these cranks on 10# XT in water from 24' (tops of flats) to 36' (from 10 yards to 1/2 mile off the flats). I have been pulling the Deep Reef Runners back an average of 250' and have been pulling the Deep Little Rippers back near 150'. I believe the Deep Reef Runners are reaching a depth of 22-24', while the Deep Little Rippers are running approximately 15'. As I mentioned, I'm pulling the shallower cranks on boards. I have been having my most consistant action near the center portion of the lake, working areas near 7 Mile, 9 Mile, Sliver, Boot, and Fletchers. I've been trolling from one flat to the next, sometimes working the edges, sometimes sailing right over the tops, depending upon boat traffic.

I've also had good luck on other cranks, suck as Deep Husky Jerks and Deep Thunder Sticks, as well as Shad Raps in various sizes.
