National Park System

I just read the story when I logged on tonight that Park System has banned snowmobiles from many National Park Properties.
This does not affect me as I don't own one BUT is this the forerunner of banning boats from national waterways?
WHAT DO YOU GUYS, ARE THEY AFTER US TOO.
