Hey everybody, thanks so much for all your input. I had a blast reading through all the suggestions. I wouldn't be surprised if more than one gets poached for use by someone else.

Before the great unveiling, some honorable mentions:

1. KP - say-eh. I almost went with "Say-eh kid" (baseball fans'll get it). It's a great name that I'd still like to use somehow.

2. Goldpig - Snow Bellied Tundra Pig. I don't know why, I just laughed out loud when I read it. And no, Goldpig, you hafta go alot further North to reach tundra.

3. Canuckda - IPAYWAYTOOMUCHINTAXES As Homer Simpson says, "It's funny 'cuz it's true!"

4. Don - Derrek. I'm gonna change my handle, but will keep derrek in my closing.

5. My Fiance - she picked "Canadian Wiggler", but was too embarrassed to post it.

So, now for the big moment (such as it is)........

THE WINNER IS AQUAMAN!!! However, not for his suggested name, but for his advice ("It should come from you....(young grasshopper). As soon as I read this, the handle popped into my head: "Peanut" It's a nickname given to me by my oldest buddies. I've had it so long, no one even remembers how I got it. On one fishing trip, I even got a lifejacket with the name Peanut on it. Truth be told, I don't know why I didn't think of it in the first place.

So once again, thanks to everyone. AquaMan, your prize is waiting. Now you've got a great excuse to come here to fish.

Peanut,
You ended that too soon! I was laughing my a** off. Already disagreeing with your fiance, that could lead to weekends full of chores. Besides that was a great handle.

Hey all. Just a quick reply to some of the posts. Hunter, sorry I ended it too soon. I'm glad people were having fun with the thread - I laughed as hard as anyone. I'll try and think of another board participation question where all of our creativity can be shown off.

Riverrunner, no consolation prizes, but if you wanna burn that fuel coming up here, I'll do my best to make it worth your while. Hang on to those pucks, you never know when the inlaws are gonna show up for supper and you're short on burgers.

For all the rest, I really enjoyed this...now go catch some fish.

I have a friend named peanut, and we gave him that name because of the size of his bladder. He can't go 20 miles down the road before he says "could you pull over, I gotta go". Ah peanut were never gonna make it to the lake. Then it's the same all day in the boat, then we always mess with him, "Hey Peanut your rod!!" He's always got one rod or another in his hand.
