Gentleman & Lady's

Try using snap weights, but still did-not know how deep ? I was trolling. I put out 50ft and then snap the weight on and then put out 50ft more with the weight of 3oz. The lake is real deep and fish I mark was 41 ft Was I close ?
Thanks

The 50/50 is listed in Precision Trolling. Without mine in front of me I'm guessing you were running around 30' depending on speed of course.

Most of my trolling is at 1.2-2.2mph. Slowest speed my rig gets is 2.5. 2 options:
#1 Trolling bags. I used to run them. Added 2 more cleats either side of boat mid way this keeps them away from prop. Some guys run just 1 larger one off the bow eye. They brought my speed down to about 1.3mph. DISADVANTAGE.. boat is hard to handle.
#2 Trolling plate. I just switched to running a plate. I'd recommend the Happy Troller. Used to run the Cabela's hydrotroll, they are junk. Had 2 of them and they both cracked. Boat control is very good and can get under 1 mph. DISADVANTAGE.. don't have a brain fart and forget to raise after trolling it knocks the snot out of them!
