View Full Version : Prop on Yamaha???

I know this is a small set up compared to what most are running on this web page, but oh well. Here it goes. I've got a 16' lund rebel with a 25 horse two stroke yamaha. Right now i'm running a 10 1/2 pitch prop and my X-91 reads between 26-30 mph at WOT. Not knowing much about props, what would pitch prop would you recommend to get me scootin a little faster?? Thanks for the help.

That seems pretty fast for a 25 hp motor. My F80 on a 1650 Angler is only 36-38 WOT with a full load.

It does seem fast, however, consider the source, my X-91. I'm sure a Gps reading would be more accurate. This was with a full 6 gallons of gas, one persons gear, and just me (200lbs) in the boat.

Am I crazy to think I can get this rig to go any faster?? Is my graph not set up right to read the proper speed??
