Seeking input and advise, pro and con, on whether to purchase a Garmin Etrax Vista model GPS. I want it for multiple uses, fishing Lake Erie, also on ice, hunting, traveling etc. I'm not sure if it's the right choice for my application or is there a better choice, model or brand. I'm seeing them go new on Ebay for $270, lists retail $350. This unit may be over-kill for my needs, with all the mapping etc. I want a unit that leaves a good trail marker, while moving at very slow speeds, like trolling, hiking etc. Have had Lorance GlobalMap 100 suggested too, suppose to have good zoom feature of your current position without going into a menu. Wondering about screen size need in these units ? Thank You in advance. mckeever2@juno.com
