I have a 1999 lund baron that I installed a raymarine auto pilot in myself. Is yours an outboard or an I.O.? My boat has an Optimax 225 and 15 hp 4 stroke and it was a fairly easy task. The autopilot I have required installing a hydraulic cyl on the Optimax along with the pump, helm and hydraulic lines. I also had to install a rudder position sensor on the outboard as well as wire everything. I did not find it a difficult task at all. The instructions that came with the autopilot were straight forward and easy to follow. If I can answer any questions or help with anything ask and I will do my best. Hope this helps. Mike

if u have a kicker look into nautimatic TR1 Autopilot
The install is about the same on any boat depending on what u get...try to steer away from Raymarine...they suck...Navco and Simrad make some bullet proof units for a little more cash.
