I've been looking for motnhs and it has come down to either a Lund 1850 Tyee or an Alumacraft 185 Tournament Sport both with 150 4 strokes. Initally I was slanted towards the Alumacraft due to the rod locker and being a pure fishing boat, but then found out the '05 Tyee will have a rod locker in the floor. I do alot of inland lake fishing but am going to expand to include Lake Michigan, thus the thought of the Tyee. Any comments on these two models and manufacturers will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

I have owned my 1850 for 8 years and I love it. I jig out of hand line, troll in line boards, and run down riggors for salmon on Lake Mich. It is a good all around boat

HI. I have the 1850 IO with the 4.3 efi engine. I take it to canada and use it on lake michigan too. I like the little transom for the kicker. I have a 15 longshaft and just sit on the back deck to run it. I like it. its not too big and not too small. for the wife and I its just right. We got tired of those boats the lodges in canada have. Mine has the rod storage in one of the gunnels. the canvas tops and side curtains come in very handy. I bought mine with 50 hours on it and got a good deal. new would have been too expensive for me. good luck.

Its a hard choice, both companies make a great boat. Both are made in
Minn, look at the warranties real hard. Cabela's sells Alumacraft!
