Has anyone had any problems with the DOT pulling a camper and a boat with the full rig over 66ft?

I have a good friend that lives in Co.
He uses a full sized Dodge - v-10.
He pulls a 28 foot 5th wheel.
Then he pulls a 17 foot boat behind the trailer.
That puts the total length at about 65 feet.

In Co. and Utah -- where he does most of his fishing, he hasn't had any problems - either with the Hi-Way patrol, or weigh stations.

In those states, it is legal to pull double trailers.

He makes a point to never back up -- and if he needs to go into a town -- he generally makes a point to unhitch, and just use the truck.

Take care

Wow - don't try it in Minnesota - that middle unit has to be a fifth wheel trailer - I got nailed with a pickup- jeep - and boat trailer - had to pull the jeep out of the double bottom rig and drive it

Same in michigan. You can only tow from a 5th wheel.

I believe the limit in Wi. is 62 ft. provided you buy a permit and the center trailer is a fifth wheel.
