I'm at about hour 5 on my 10 hour break in period for my Johnson 140 4 stroke. Can I pull tubes and skiers during this timeframe, or should I wait till after the break in period?
With half your break in complete according to the manual, and as long as you are not running at full throttle for more than a few minutes now and then, you should be OK. A mid RPM heavy load on a motor being broken in is not a bad thing. I'm at 8 hours now on my 70 and I throttle up to get the skier up, then back off slowly to 4200-4500 RPM.
