Hey i am from northern illinois and i am trying to find a new place too fish. Where is a good place to fish for Walleye??
Have you fished the Fox Chain? This is my "home" water and it has a pretty fair population of walleyes. It can be a challenge to fish, but they are there.
Best Regards,

Here is what we got that's kinda in this area(not in order of rank): Illinois River, Mississippi River(IA, WI), the Cooling Ponds(Heidecke, Lasalle, Braindwood), Rock River, Fox River, Kankakee River, Shanbana, Fox Chain, lower Lake Michigan, southern Wisconsin lakes like Geneva, Delavan et, misc Illinois lakes like Peirce Lake(Rockford), Tampier et al - some consider the Bago Chain a day trip too. I'm sure I forgot some.

You forgot Madison Chain and Wis. River (Lake Wisconsin)
I know this may be a shameless plug but I belong to a multi-species club that meets in batavia once per month and fishes these bodies of water. Boater or non-boater all are invited. Little competition and a lot of fun. Kids and wives welcome too.
Any info. Just check the WC link in clubs or e-mail me. Spring Valley Walleye club is another resource.
