LOOKING FOR INFO. ON AREA , WHERE TO LAUNCH,DEPTH,LURES,WHAT TO EXPECT,QUALITY , QUANITY,SIZE,ETC.,ETC..THANKS.
Fished it last summer with a buddy. We hired a guide who took us out. This is what I know. There is a marina just a mile or so from where the Niagra dumps into Ontario. Launch there and go out to the mouth. The river has created a large delta that extends way out into the lake. It is very deep. I beleive it tops outaround 25-35 ft. deep. You don't want to fish on the top. Find the outer most drop into about 40-50 ft. and then work towards the NW corner of the bar. You'll see other boats out there so it won't be hard to find. The trick is to drift with very heavy bottom bouncers, a long 7-10 ft. lead, and a night crawler/spinner rig. Use a large Colorado blade in preferably purple/silver/black or chartruse/black. There are some real piggys in there! not uncommon to catch 10+ fish, so hang on! There are also some big smallies as well. We managed a 5 pounder when we were out. Good luck.

I have a site on fishing Port Dalhousie which is a few miles west of the Niagara mouth. These fish are actually Niagara River fish in their nighttime haunts. Big ones, too. E-mail me for the site, since this board does not seem to have a link insertion option. Bigfish1965@hotmail.com
