I recently purchased a Crestliner 1600 Angler SC with a 50 Evinrude E-Tec on it. The manual says that it should be between 5500-6000 RPM at full throttle. My engine is running at about 6200 wide open. Does anyone have any good info on props that could help me out and lower the RPM's. Any info on this would help. I've read the previous post but anyone who owns or has the same problem and a solution would be appreciated.

Congratulations on your new rig. If you go to the next size larger pitch prop, you should drop about 300 RPM. However, your trolling speed may increase due to the larger pitch. There's always a compromise.........

Good Luck,

Yeah...see what pitch you got on there right now. If it's a 17, for example, you may want to try a 19 pitch. Just need to get those RPM's down a little.
