View Full Version : Where to mount GPS receiver on Pro-V IFS

I've seen a few with the receiver (Lowrance) mounted just in front of the windshield but I am afraid this will harm reception? Any ideas from you vetrans out there? Thanks for the help!!

I have 2 mounted just in front of the windsheild on my ProV,(one on each side) they are both on rail mounts on the railing. They work fine there and I have never had a problem getting or staying locked on.

I mounted mine up front on the carpeted bow deck...

Mine is mounted on velcro on the dah behind the windshield.

Mine is also mounted with velcro behind the windshield per PJ's recommendation. Works great and is protected from bumps and hits.

I have both of mine before the windshield, one on each side. My last rig I had one towards the back and the other on the bow. The bow one seemed to get in the way when getting off at the dock.
