Has anyone fished out of one of these? Opinions?

I have fished alot out of this boat and love it. You do need to put a V6 on it to get the best performace out of it. The ride is great. I have had two back surgery and this boat keeps you dry and smoooooth.
If you are in MI i could take you for a ride in one to show you how nice it is. Douglas Moore, dmmoore@basspro.com

The front end looks a little cramped. Is that accurate? How's the storage?

Hiya,
I've got a Tundra 18DC, and I love the thing. The ride is exceptional - frankly I didn't think aluminum could ride that well. I spend most of my time on Leech and Mille Lacs, and it has handled the big water extremely well.

As far as the layout and storage: The ammount of storage is ridiculous. There are two large compartments up front, a centerline in-floor storage locker, the rod lockers, shelves under each console, a glove box, built in cooler on the passenger console, etc. I took mine to Canada for a multi-species trip, and had 20 rods in the thing, with room for more if I'd have wanted them. Most of my storage compartments are half full or less, and I carry a fair amount of stuff around.

The front deck is bigger than you think. I mainly muskie fish out of mine, and can pretty comfortably have two guys on the front deck whipping muskie baits around without feeling crowded. Obviously you don't do it if both guys don't know what they're doing, but that's true no matter how big or small the front deck is...

I have a 135 Opti on mine, and with 2 people and a fairly average load can hit around 50 MPH on the GPS, and I need to go up a pitch in prop but just haven't gotten around to it yet.

All in all, I'm extremely happy with my Tundra. Been a great boat so far.

Cheers,
RK

Thanks, RK. Does the 18' stay as dry during rough rides as a bigger boat? Also, I'm guessing you live in central or north/cent. MN? Where exactly?
