Cabela!s rod holders fit Roberts bases???

I have 4 Roberts rod holders on my boat and would like to replace them with the Cabelas ones. Does anyone know if these holders will fit into the Roberts mounts or do you have to replace them with the ones which come with the Cabelas ones? I have called Cabelas and twice I was transferred to a Product Specialist who could not give me an answer. He said to order them and if they would not fit I could send them back!!!?????? Thanks if anyone can help on this one.

I bought a couple of Roberts rodholders once without really thinking over the application. They would not fit on the inside of my Lund due to the metel lip on the inside of the gunnel, without padding the mount loccation with a strip of wood. I then deceided to install flushmounts and bought Cabelas "scotty" mounts and rodholders. Tried to fit the Roberts into the flushmount and it would not fit tight. Didn't try the Cabelas holders into the Roberts mount. I would say they do not fit.

The Cabelas fit the Scotty mount and vice versa.
