Bass and Walleye Boats magazine had a test and an article on the 90hp E-TEC (same engine block as the 75) in the Jan. 2004 issue.

I own a 75 hp E-Tech and love it!!! It is quiet, starts on the first go and is fast and powerful. High quality through out. I highly recommend it. I have owned, yamaha(really good motor) and merc (2 that had their good points and bad)and this E-Tech has them all beat by a long stretch. Gary U

Hi Miami; I have a Lund Pro Angler 16 with that 75 hp in tiller. I am still playing with props so I don't have a guess as to MPH yet. I plan on taking it out in the next day or 2 and I will bring my GPS along and report. Gary U

I purchased a new 75 hp. E TECH outboard this year. The more I use this motor the better I like it. It always starts right up,runs smooth, and the only time it stops is when you turn the key off. I was running a 75 hp. 4 stroke Merc. for the past 2 years and this motor is far superior . I have an Alumacraft Tourney Pro 175 tiller and I get top end of 32 mph, on my GPS. With 3 persons in the boat, livewell full, I still can get 31 mph. Best motor I have ever owned.
