Erie in October

Thinking about a trip to Erie late in October, How is the fishing in the fall. Is fishing as good in fall or better in the spring. Where is the best place to go in the fall. Never been there before are the fish around the Bass Island area's then.

The Huron area is the place to be in late Oct.There are big schools of big fish in that area all through Oct right up until ice up. Trolling is the name of the game out there that time of the year.ReefRunners, Ripsticks, and Deep LittleRippers are the way to go. Some of the guys do good trolling with Jets and spoons also. Start checking the fishing report page for info as it starts happening out there this fall.

If you want to come catch fish in the fall join the Walleye Central fall get together on Lake Erie Nov. 8-11.

There is a fish fry and a little bragging rights only tourney. I went last year. the first day I weighed four fish for 37.69 pounds and I was in fourth!
