I am getting a "gunk" build up on the bow of my glass boat, probably from the front roller on my winch. Any suggestion on the best way to remove this stuff? Thanks.

Most of the time, you can ease the boat back a bit - or take cleaner to the lake and clean it at the lake.
Generally, just using wd-40 or mineral spirits will take care of the problem.
If you don't get it all with that, you can pick up some "westley's tire bleach" at your favorite auto supply store.
If necessary use one of the marine scrub pads with the cleaner and you will be good to go.
Take care

In order to avoid future problems, I can recommend this

I 2nd the use of the poly rollers.
As a matter of fact, if you don't have poly rollers in place for "any or all" of your boat rollers, I certainly endorse their use.
No black marks and very long wearing.
I might suggest however, unless you have a need for a "roller" on the nose of your boat - you get a bit more support and less abrasion by the use of a "Bow V Block."
If you aren't familar with the Bow v block, it fits around the front V of your hull, to stabilize its movement on the trailer.
You may already have this design in place.
great

Cooper, You might even click on one of the following URls and find a product called Safe Scrub. By doing so you will have a product made for the job and you will be supporting Walleye Central at that same time. Skeeter

I've spent most of my life fishing. The rest of it I wasted!
Use the WALLEYE CENTRAL BUSINESS DIRECTORY under marine supplies, it works!

Skeeter,
I own a Starcraft Islander, aluminum painted surface, and I noticed a dulling of the paint on the gunnel surface and cabin area that is not covered by my fitted cover. I would like to find a product that would be able to clean the surface without damaging the paint. Do you sell a product that might be able to help me out?
Thank you,
Tom

I just had some work done on my 620 trailer at Liddles Body Repair in Chicago. They do much of the repair work for Ranger in this area. I asked the same question. Answer from the horses mouth: Laquer Thinner, get it at any hardware store- use an old towel and rub it on. Won't hurt the finish at all. I'm trying it this weekend. I guess you have to trust people that work with Ranger this closely!
