Would anyone out there have any expierience with the Digger anchor? It's made out in the "Gopher" state near the twin cities I think. Is it any good? Is it worth the money? (about $60.00 at Gander Mountian)

If you want one, cover the shipping and you can have mine! I didn't like it at all. It looks like a cool concept, but just didn't work out. If the flukes don't land in the right position, it just drags around backwards. The automatic release feature is also a neat idea that doesn't quite work out.

Thanks for the reply Brian. I was a little uncertain of it's reliability. What do you think of the "Waterspike" or should a guy just bite the bullet and buy a Richter anchor?

I also have a waterspike in my attic that I no longer use. I bought a Richter this year and really like it a lot. So far I've used it in rocks, sand, and mud, some high wind, and it hooks up great and releases easily. Heavier than the waterspike, but fits in my storage better.

Before you buy the Richtor take a look at Pro Anchor by Guidemasters. The Pro Anchor will sit in you boat and not roll around like the Richtor. Also due to the flat flukes it will hold better in mud or sand then the round flukes on the Richtor. The Pro Anchor is the only anchor with two reverse pull outs. It will come out of rocks! Check it out at
