My lifetime dream has always been to be a professional walleye fisherman.I have spent the last ten years fishing or dreaming about it. I have a good boat(pro-v). I have read all the articles, watched all the video's, and have spent some serious time practicing the tricks of the trade. I think I'm ready to fish competitively. I am wondering if any of you tournament anglers can give me some advise on getting started. I have fished a hand full of local tournaments in the past few years but am looking to get a lot more serious about it. I have already decided to fish a couple of PWT amatuer tourneys next year, Leech and Devils Lake. I would really appreciate some more advise on wich sercuits are the best, PWT/RCL and wich would be a good place to start. Also, how does an angler go about getting sponsorships. I know that the trail can get spendy and sponsorships can sure help a guy out. Any advise would really be appreciated.
Thanks,

A good place to start would be the World Walleye Association (WWA) Tournament series. The entry fees are reasonable and its a good learning experience. I am actually thinking about fishing this circut myself next summer. There is information about this on the Walleye Tournament page on this website.
