Hi
I use the x85 too and it is new to me this year. I bought a video about the x85 and it has helped a lot. Probably not the info you were looking for; but thought I'd pass it along in case you did not know they made those...
Good luck,
Jenn

If you have the owners manual it's a 800 number for customer service. Give them a call and they'll walk you through it,after that you keep playing with it and it will be a piece of cake:-)

Always run your unit on manual. When on auto and you change depths the auto mode will start changing your screen when you are over a changing contour and you will miss the fish that are holding in that area. Make the range change manually. Also set your gray scale at about 70 percent. Set your sensativity up to the point that you don't get any clutter on the screen. You shouldnt run your Fish ID on "fishies" rather let the sonar signal give you the true sonar arc. Which will be more like a line that a sharp arc that the simulator shows. Your unit is top notch and will preform very well. Remember that your cone is only 20 degrees, you will get better bottom definition and target seperation with it but it is narrow. Good Luck... :D ><)))">
