Script boat registration numbers/letters

I'm from SD and they say they are going to enforce the Coast Guard lettering regulations after years of not doing so. I bought my boat about three years ago with nice script lettering on it and was told that I'd have to remove them and buy block lettering. Looking at Cabela's Marine Specialty Catalog (page 54) they have the same lettering that I do and it claims these are Coast Guard approved. Granted, these aren't a radical script, but they aren't block either. Anyone know what the deal is? Thanks for any help before I drag out the hair dryer.

Save yourself a headache and just go to your local sign company and have new letters made they can make them about any style ,color and size you need and they usally arent much more than 30 bucks.
