The Mississippi Walleye Club of Dubuque, Iowa is hosting a Cabela's National Team Walleye Championship Qualifier in Dubuque on Oct. 7, 2001. The tournament known as the "Big Muddy Walleye Classic" is sponsored by:
The Diamond Jo Casino,The Dubuque Greyhound Park & Casino,
Kirchoff Distributing Company, Miller Electric Company, The Dubuque Advertizer, The Bait Shack, The MainStay Suites.
The "Big Muddy" is a 100 boat max.tournament, fishing on the Mississippi in pools 11,12,& 13. Entry fee is $150 per team plus optional $20.00 per team "Big Fish" pot.
Through the generosity of our sponsors we are able to GUARANTEE a $10,000 payout based on 1 to 65 boats. If we have a full field of 100 boats we will GUARANTEE a $12,000 payout. The tournament will pay back 12 places. 1st. Place on the $10,,000 payout is $4,000.00. 1st. Place on the $12,000 payout is $5,000.00. THE PAYOUT MONEY IS IN THE BANK!!!!
We will also be giving 6 (Cabela's Qualifier Spots for their Spring 2002 National Championship) to the top six teams. We have the Qualifier Certificates in hand.The National Championship will be held May 18 & 19, 2002 at Eddy's Lake Mille Lacs Resort, Minnesota.
