I need to be able to rig my boat so that I can use the 2 deep cycles for both the trolling motor(24V) and for a heavy draw 12V device. How can this be done so that I can use both deep cycles for both applications? They won't be running at the same time.

Thanks

Some boats are rigged with Charge/Run switches that allow you to hook the batteries together in parallel (Charge) for charging with 12 volts or hooked together in series (Run) for 24 volts. Warriors have two of these. It can be done with a double throw/double pole switch. It has six terminals on it. If this doesn't help you out, let me know and I can draw up a schematic to show you how to hook the wires up. This will only allow you to use either one at a time, not simultaneously. This switch will have to be hardy enough to handle the amperage that you plan. To get the same power on the 12 volt setting will double the amperage. There are also trolling motor plugs with three leads; red, black and orange. They can be hooked up with 24 volt + to the orange, 12 volt + to the red and a common negative. This way you can get either 24 or 12 volts from the same plug.
