Just bought a Minn Kota Maxxum bow mount trolling motor(74lbs). Any suggestions on how to mount my Lowrance skimmer transducer? On my last two Minn Kota power drives I used a big hose clamp on the motor head and a mounting bracket and it worked great. However, on the Maxxum the motor head has to drag across the rounded front of the base when you lift it for stowing. The hose clamp digs into the plastic and chews it up. I called Minn Kota and they just chuckled said they get tons of calls about this same problem. Of course they offered no solution. Can anybody help?
