Just got bumped out of a leach lake fishing trip weekend after opener. still want to go somewhere maybe even take the wife. Now it seems like it's almost to late called around lots of places are all booked up any ideas . was looking at leach,winnie and vermlion.
any ideas would be great....
Might consider heading up to Pelican Lake near Orr. Been a real sleeper the last several years. Big smallmouth and giant crappies, too. Otherwise, if you were originally going to Leech, why not consider Ten Mile or Woman or Whitefish. Better prospects for big fish anyways. Have fun, though the walleyes might be well into their summer mode by then-- the way the year's been going . . .

Woman Lake would be a good choice for early in the season. Lots of nice but affordable resorts on the lake.
