Who would be interested and able to commit to an ice fishing get-together at Glendo or other western reservoir this winter?

Scott Golden has responded with a thumbs up on the idea and will be attending.

Please respond with a proposed date and location.

I can just see it now...

NealCO ruining his reel on a carp,
Power augers disturbing the peace,
dkooser cracking a beer at 5:00 a.m.,
Scott telling fishing war stories,
Stan- what can I say about Stan,
Krause trying to troll Krause killers in the snow,
Wheels sneaking away from the ball and chain,
Eyeboy switching lures every five minutes.

Should be a good time, so start laying the groundwork now with your wives!

More information will come out about lodging and meals as soon as we set a date.

I'm in. I still have all the hotel info for the Glendo area, I would be glad to call and try to get a special rate once the dates are set. My vote would be Glendo since we don't have any other walleye lakes that consistantly freeze every year. Of course we could try Pathfinder, but some you walleye only guys might actually catch a big "Slimer" and get your tackle wrecked, LOL.

Eric,
Give us a break the water isn't anywhere near stiff yet! Consider me in when the time comes though. Maybe we can do a tourney of some sort and Get some Goodies donated from some W.C. sponsors.

They were wearing stocking hats in Green Bay last night on Monday night football. Embrace the inevitable, don't shy away from it!!!!

I was going to talk to you about this later.

I got so busy on www.zales.com that I forgot to talk to you about it! LOL!

Cracking a beer at 5am!!! Do I need to wait that long? I'm likely to go thru withdrawls if I have to play by the rules and wait til then. Guess I can't use my DuPont lure too. Lemme tell you guys something, ice is used to keep the beer cold from where I come, definitely not used to sit on and chill ones backside. The only benefit would be that the beer won't get warm. How am I gonna give you guys your Evenrude shower....man I just don't know about this ice stuff. Count me for a maybe vote.

Come on Dave, you probably freeze more during hunting season than you ever will on the ice?

You are a great jig fisherman and know how to use jigging spoons, thats really all there is to it! And this time you won't have to cook!

I'm in. I know it's a long drive for you guys, but you might want to consider Boysen Res. It has a lot better ice fishing to offer.

I know distance will be a concern in the winter for me. Unless of course dkooser goes then I can ride in the monster truck version of a school bus and not worry about getting stuck in any drifts!

I've been told by liable (purposely mispelled) sources that I have a "puny" truck but if you feel more comfortable in mine, then count me in. I feel better about the ice on Boysen than I do on Glendo. Lets shoot for late Jan or early Feb. Could combine that with a trip to Cabellas and do my spring shopping too.

Dave & Eric,

Hey why wait???If the Pueblo Tourney is on this weekend just stop by the house and I'll fill your shorts with a couple of bags of ice and and leave some gloves in the freezer for you. I'll even let you use my ice fishing poles to make you feel better. hehehehe

Might give getting blue butt a shot. If i can swing it with other commitments count me in, missed Glendo last month cause of school starting, so I can't say either way.

Good deal.

We will get a date set so everyone can arrange accordingly.

I won't know till a day or two before if I can make it. 30-80 hour school weeks can kind of through off plans any time. Sometimes I have to work for 20 hours on school on the weekends, can't know more then a day ahead of time either.
